Background

The McKenzie Stewardship Steering Committee formed in 2007 to explore opportunities to use stewardship contracting to accomplish restoration projects within the McKenzie Basin. Resource Innovations, with the Institute for a Sustainable Environment at the University of Oregon, is facilitating the group composed of partners from the US Forest Service, McKenzie Watershed Council, Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB), the East Lane Soil and Water Conservation District and other community stakeholders.
