Alsea Stewardship Group

The Alsea Stewardship Group was initiated in 2005 to guide watershed and forest health restoration projects using stewardship contracting in the Alsea Basin.

The group is composed of representatives from the Alsea Watershed Council, MidCoast Watershed Council, Cascade Pacific, Oregon Wild, Integrated Resouce Management, Lincoln County, Siuslaw National Forest and local residents.

To date the Alsea group has reviewed and recommended two stewardship projects to the Siuslaw Stewardship Fund.

  • Lincoln County Road Department Scotch Broom Removal Project
  • Rider Creek and Hayden Creek Fish Passage Project
